MINISTRY OPPORTUNiTIES

•  Compass is in the process of  developing Life Groups with the goal to meet in the privacy of individuals' homes on a weekly basis for apostolic doctrine, prayer, and fellowship.  Come be a part of this exciting opportunity.

• Must have a burden for souls and a willingness to work with the current pastor to build up the church.
• Role will grow during planned transition to eventually become the next pastor.
• Would need to be financially self-sufficient or bivocational.
• UPCI License required.

• An individual or couple willing to take charge of the children's ministry.
• Mission and outreached minded.
• Willing to train and mentor new Sunday School teacher. 
• Children's ministry is a vital part of our church growth and we are looking for a dedicated minister who can lead it.
• License not required.

• An individual or couple willing to work with our young people and grow our youth ministry. 
• Mission and outreach minded and able to impart that burden to young people.
• Able to work with our rapidly growing middle and high school groups
• The senior pastor and bishop are currently leading this ministry and are seeking to entrust it to a minister who shares their passion for teaching and reaching young people. 
• License not required.

• An individual or couple willing to lead the worship ministry at the church. 
• No specific music talent required as the church does have capable musicians and singers. 
• Able to teach and train new musicians. 
• The senior pastor is presently overseeing this ministry and is eager to transition it to a minister with a passion for worship ministry. 
• License not required.

• A minister willing to assist the current pastor in leading and growing the local church.
• Willing to work specifically with our young people and grow our youth ministry.
• Mission and outreach minded and able to impart that burden.
• UPCI License or intent to be licensed required.

• Petra Church reaches into five geographic regions, with Missoula, Montana at the center. These regional works are not autonomous or independent; rather they are inner-dependent and accountable to each other. 
• A Regional Pastor will serve as an administrator and be accountable for the outreach efforts and development of small groups within a specific region.
• License not required.

• The Outreach Pastor will oversee Petra outreach and evangelism processes and provide accountability to Petra leadership for these strategic growth processes in an effort to promote growth, discipleship, and to involve others in the Kingdom.  
• License not required.

• The Petra Youth Pastor will be responsible for the spiritual health and well-being of Petra Youth (ranging from ages 11 to 18).  
• Will work with parents to help foster systematic and consistent discipleship in the lives of Petra Youth. 
• Will  organize regular youth events and participate in Petra outreach and evangelism processes.  
• License not required.

• The Petra Worship Pastor will assist in fostering a spirit of worship in Petra’s corporate gatherings through prayer and singing. 
• The Worship Pastor must demonstrate sensitivity to the Holy Ghost and be willing to be led by the Spirit rather than conduct a scripted or choregraphed worship event.
• License not required.

• Life Groups are the primary outreach and discipleship focus of Petra Church.  Petra is developing Life Groups in all five of its regions, and is actively seeking leaders who will help develop and lead these groups as they meet in the privacy of homes on a weekly basis for apostolic doctrine, prayer, and fellowship.
• License not required.

•  An individual or couple willing to lead a team and work with young people between the ages of 12 and 18. 
• Must be mission minded and willing to serve the youth through teaching and mentoring.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• There is currently no one filling this role.
• License not required
• Currently no compensation for this position, but ministry opportunities are available to work into a part-time and then on to full time as the personal ministry grows.

•  An Individual or couple willing to lead a team and plan the Music for the services and special events.
• Musical abilities are important.
• Looking for someone who will minister through music and not just lead in singing.
• The Senior Pastor currently fills this role, but will gladly step aside. 
• License not required.
• Currently no compensation for this position, but ministry opportunities are available to work into a part-time and then on to full time as the personal ministry grows.

•  An individual or couple willing to lead a team and serve the children ages 5-11.
• Must be mission-minded and willing to serve the children through teaching and mentoring.
• Must be able to pass a background check. 
• License not required.
• Currently no compensation for this position, but ministry opportunities are available to work into a part-time and then on to full time as the personal ministry grows.

Our vision includes pastors working with the Senior Pastor to evangelize and facilitate growth. As the church grows, we want to make sure everyone has a personal pastor for spiritual guidance and support.  

• Willing to serve at the discretion of the Senior Pastor. 
• Willing to work in evangelism. 
• Will receive a generous portion of the tithing from those assigned to them. 
• Will have opportunity to lead a preaching point, daughter work, or plant an autonomous work. The region is ripe with opportunity.
